Iowa Irish Fest moves to digital debit and credit card purchases; schedule of events announced | Waterloo

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) — For the next two years, the Iowa Irish Fest will allow credit and debit card purchases at all gas stations.

Credit and debit cards will still be used to purchase cash from vendors for food and beverages. According to director Chad Shipman, this addition was made to make the Irish festival enjoyable for everyone.

“This development, and all of the developments we incorporate, are aimed at improving the Fest experience for our attendees,” Shipman said, “Overall, those who bring their debit or credit card are experiencing less downtime. waiting and fewer queues, allowing them to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Fest.


In addition to the new payment features, the festival has announced its official entertainment program for 2022!

With less than four months to go, the festival said it was in high demand for volunteers!

As a volunteer, you will be paid by:

  • Free admission for three days
